Main purpose of the job
Mauritius Telecom, though its subsidiary MT Foundation, is committed to driving meaningful and lasting impact via strategic Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. To help us advance this mission, we are looking for passionate and results-driven individual to join our team as Assistant Manager - MT Foundation.
The job holder shall support the strategic development, implementation, and monitoring of Mauritius Telecom?s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives through the MT Foundation. The job holder will also play a key role in identifying, managing, and evaluating community-focused projects that align with the company?s values and contribute to sustainable development.
Main Duties
- CSR Strategy & Planning:
- Responsible for the design and execution of CSR strategies and annual action plans in line with MT Foundation?s mission and Mauritius Telecom?s corporate objectives.
- Developing and executing CSR programs as well as conducting periodic program reviews to assess outcomes and effectiveness.
- Project Management:
- Coordinate and oversee CSR projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget control, and measurable impact.
- Support the evaluation and selection of partner NGOs and beneficiaries through transparent processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with NGOs, community groups, government agencies, and internal stakeholders to foster collaboration and support for CSR initiatives.
- Represent MT Foundation in stakeholder forums, CSR networks, and community events.
- Monitoring & Evaluation:
- Develop and implement performance indicators and measurement frameworks to assess the social, environmental, and economic impact of CSR programs.
- Prepare analytical reports and dashboards for Management's perusal
- Communication & Awareness:
- ? Promote CSR activities through internal and external communication channels, including social media, press releases, and events.
- Contribute to the preparation of MT Foundation?s annual CSR report and related publications.
- Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure all CSR activities comply with legal, ethical, and corporate governance standards.
- Uphold ethical standards and ensure alignment with Mauritius Telecom?s values and Code of Conduct.
- Maintain transparent documentation and reporting systems to ensure accountability and audit readiness.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Identify innovative CSR models and partnerships that can amplify community impact and visibility
- Keep abreast of global CSR trends, sustainability practices, and corporate philanthropy developments to strengthen MT Foundation?s positioning as a responsible corporate citizen.
Desired Qualification and Experience
- Diploma in Management or related field, at minimum
- Minimum three (3) years of working experience in people management and project in related field.
Competences and people skills
- Have a strong expertise in social activities, managing relationships, networks, and teams that include a diverse group of people representative of the public and private sectors, community-based organisations, non-profits, and civic leaders as well as program beneficiaries.
- Proven effectiveness in driving complex multi-stakeholder planning processes and cross-team projects to desired results.
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to distil complex information into simple messages and concise communication materials, tailored for the audience.
- A high level of confidentiality and awareness of ethical responsibilities.
