    The Telecom App: Mauritius Telecom’s superapp

    The Telecom app is a real breakthrough in the Mauritian digital landscape. Endowed with an intuitive and user-friendly interface, the all-in-one app provides a simple and seamless digital customer journey for all MT customers to better manage their services. With the launch of the Telecom App on 25 August 2023, Mauritius Telecom enters a new era of digitalisation.

    Mauritius Telecom’s third submarine cable T3

    Mauritius Telecom continues to support the digital transformation of Mauritius. MT has invested in a third submarine cable, the T3 cable which links Mauritius to South Africa, in order to meet the rapid uptake of bandwidth-hungry applications, cloud computing, connected devices, video streaming and other digital services. The T3 cable landed in Mauritius on 23 March 2023.

    MT reaches 1 million mobile customers

    To celebrate its 1 million my.t mobile customers, Mauritius Telecom launched eSIM and special offers for our Prepay and Postpay customers.

    Launch of 1Gbps fibre connectivity

    Mauritius joins the league of countries offering 1Gbps fibre connectivity. Mauritius Telecom once more brings innovation to the ICT landscape. Other available offers at more affordable prices are 50, 100 and 500 Mbps. Launched 9 Sep 2021.

    Launch of my.t 5G Experience Zones

    4 my.t 5G Experience Zones were launched at Ebene, University of Mauritius, Bagatelle Mall and La City Trianon on 29 July 2021. 5G finally becomes a reality in Mauritius, thanks to Mauritius Telecom.

    No Limit Postpay offer

    Mauritius Telecom, once again, brings a revolution, this time on the mobile postpay market. The No Limit Postpay offer and other amazing packages were launched on Tuesday 10 November 2020. The Postpay 2000 offers unlimited data, unlimited calls to my.t network and other local operators, and unlimited SMS.

    24H No limit data package

    The first 24H No limit data package was launched on 22 September 2020. Mobile prepay customers can now enjoy non-stop surfing, gaming, Youtubing or streaming experience at full speed unlimited mobile data for Rs 15 only. Other unlimited packages were also launched: New Weekly Unlimited Mobile Data package – 15GB at Rs95, New Monthly Unlimited Mobile Data package – 75GB at Rs315, a 3-Month Unlimited Mobile Data package - 270GB at Rs815.

    In July 2020, concerned about the impact of its activities on the environment, Mauritius Telecom implemented a paperless policy for its mobile Postpay offers. Since 1 August 2020, mobile Postpay bills for both individuals and businesses are sent to customers on their registered email addresses.

    my.t market

    The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted many spheres of our life and one of them is shopping. Mauritius Telecom launched, in April 2020, its online shopping platform, my.t market in order to provide a safe alternative shopping experience to Mauritian citizens. Mytmarket.telecom.mu provides a range of products from groceries, food and vegetables, frozen products, clothing to electronics.

    Handing over of the MARS cable to Rodrigues Regional Assembly - Rodrigues is now connected!.
    Launch of 4K Smartbox, which offers an amazing experience with its innovative features (1st Live 4K channel in Mauritius, video casting, new channels etc.).
    Launch of my.t money, a revolutionary mobile wallet that gives its users exciting new ways of managing their money.

    Landing of the MARS (Mauritius and Rodrigues Submarine) cable in Grand Baie, Rodrigues on 17 November.
    Launch of my.t Weather App, an app which provides up-to-date meteorological data such as forecasts and special weather forecasts.
    Launch of my.t Selfcare App, which allows prepaid and postpaid my.t mobile subscribers to manage and control their accounts.
    Launch of MUGA, the first technology-enabled complex in Phoenix, by the Mauritius Telecom Foundation.

    MT subsidiary, CSL, opens the 1st call-centre in Rodrigues.
    Launch of Business Boost offers, offering ultra-fast, competitive and unlimited internet connectivity for SMEs.
    Launch of Wi-Fi Mauritius, a project designed to give free internet access through the deployment of 350 Wi-Fi hotspots across the island.
    Launch of Citizen Support Portal, an online platform through which citizens of Mauritius and Rodrigues can directly transmit their grievances, requests and ideas to ministries and local authorities.
    MT adopts a unique brand, my.t, for all its services and products.
    Launch of the Mauritius and Rodrigues Submarine (MARS) cable project, first submarine cable connecting Rodrigues.

    New tariff reductions announced: IPLC by 20%, from 14 to 51% on mobile Internet packages and new prices for Orange Social and Orange Découverte internet offers, for implementation as from January 2015.
    Deployment of full LTE/4G mobile network island-wide coverage in Rodrigues
